Gauhati University student Nimisha Thakuria murder accused Ashiq Ali shot in leg after escape bid
Ashiq Ali, the prime suspect in the death of Gauhati University student Nimisha Thakuria, sustained a leg injury. He was shot by police after allegedly attempting to flee custody during transport. Nimisha was found unconscious at a homestay and later declared dead at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital. Authorities are investigating various angles, including the involvement of a staffer.
