In 2014, Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes purchased a distinctive rustic estate in Carpinteria, California. This property, crafted by Joel Schumacher, is constructed from reclaimed wood of three 200-year-old barns. Designed for privacy and a serene connection to nature, it embodies American history, offering a tranquil retreat from Los Angeles.
