Great Green Wall of Gujarat recognised by UN
Gujarat's 20,000-hectare Great Green Wall mangrove project, recognized by the UNFCC, aims to bolster coastal resilience against climate change. Led by VIKAS, the initiative has already established 3,000 hectares, benefiting communities through protection and economic opportunities like carbon credit revenue sharing.
