'If govt employees must retire at 60, why not MLAs?' asks Karnataka BJP MLA Balachandra Jarkiholi

Balachandra Jarkiholi, an MLA from Arabhavi, raised concerns about elected representatives lacking a retirement age. He questioned why government employees retire at sixty while politicians do not. Jarkiholi suggested a national-level discussion on implementing an age limit for holding office. He believes this would promote wider public debate and uniformity in retirement norms. The former minister stated his personal opinion on the matter.
