IIT-Bombay suicide case: Cops checking if institute followed its cheating SOP
IIT-B is under scrutiny for potentially not following its own procedures regarding cheating incidents. Sahil Wakode was allegedly caught using a mobile phone during an exam shortly before his death. After his alleged misconduct, the police recorded statements from multiple witnesses to gather more information. Investigators are also reviewing the security measures at the exam venue to understand how the phone was smuggled in.
