IMD issues red alert for heavy rainfall in 3 Tamil Nadu districts; yellow alert for Chennai
A developing depression in the Bay of Bengal has prompted a red alert for extremely heavy rainfall in several Tamil Nadu districts. Chennai, along with surrounding areas, is under yellow alert for heavy rainfall from November 27th to 29th. The depression is expected to intensify and bring widespread rain to coastal and potentially inland regions.
