Impersonating retired IPS officer, 74-year-old man tries to secure release of friend, arrested
A 74-year-old man was arrested for impersonating a retired IPS officer. He threatened police officers to release his friend arrested in a case. He claimed to be a 1979-batch IPS officer and former IB official. He even brought five people posing as IPS officers to the police commissioner's office. An investigation revealed his claims were false, leading to his arrest.
