In 2007, Brad Pitt’s housing mission was meant to rebuild New Orleans; how things went wrong resulted in lawsuits
Brad Pitt co-founded the Make It Right Foundation to rebuild homes in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. The project aimed to construct affordable and sustainable homes but encountered significant structural issues. Homeowners experienced problems like rotting materials and water damage shortly after moving in. A class-action lawsuit was filed against the foundation for defective construction and fraud. The foundation ultimately agreed to a settlement to reimburse affected homeowners for repairs.
