In a first, underwater drones to give more teeth to Maha Kumbh security
Mela police plan to use underwater drones and sonar technology for the first time during Maha Kumbh-2025 to improve security. Enhanced vigilance at ghats and rivers includes deep-water barricading, a water scooter brigade, and floating rescue stations equipped with first aid. A budget of ₹6.25 lakh supports these measures.
