New research reveals a critical window for road safety in India: the hour between 9 PM and 10 PM is the most perilous, while 1 PM to 2 PM offers the safest driving conditions. Data from over 4.5 million trips highlights that driving behaviour deteriorates significantly after 8 PM. Sudden braking and harsh acceleration are identified as major risk factors, contributing to over 80% of accidents.
