Jharkhand Govt To Tackle Elephant-Human Conflict with Holistic Strategy, Quick Response Teams, and Rescue Center
Jharkhand government is developing a comprehensive strategy to tackle escalating human-elephant conflicts, which have claimed over 30 lives this year. Plans include forming quick response teams, establishing an Elephant Rescue Centre, and adopting best practices from other states. The government is also framing standard operating procedures for swift compensation and investigating potential links between illegal mining and increased elephant activity.
