Jharkhand Power Tariff Hike 2026-27: DVC Consumers Face 40% Increase
Jharkhand State Electricity Regulatory Commission (JSERC) has approved a 40% power tariff hike for DVC-served areas for 2026-27, a reduction from DVC's proposed 45%. While domestic low-tension consumers see a slight drop, commercial and high-tension consumers, along with industries, face significant increases. A green energy tariff and rebates for timely payments and prepaid metering have also been introduced.
