Jon Bernthal continued his work even after Christopher Nolan tried to stop him
When director Christopher Nolan requested Jon Bernthal to pause filming a particularly grueling scene, Bernthal resolutely declined, courageously enduring icy waters that remarkably inspired co-star Matt Damon. Damon acknowledged that Bernthal's determination positively influenced the entire cast's morale. Bernthal articulated his philosophy of confronting challenges and welcoming rejection, reflecting on 'The Odyssey,' a film that depicts Odysseus's challenging voyage back home post-Trojan War.
