Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation saves Rs 150 crore annually with solar energy initiatives
KDMC aims to save Rs 150 crore annually by generating 2122 lakh units of electricity through solar energy. Since 2007, new buildings in Kalyan Dombivli are mandated to install solar panels, generating significant savings. The civic body has also initiated multiple awareness campaigns to promote solar energy advantages among residents.
