Kamal reveals casting struggles for ‘Aami’
Kamal faced significant challenges in casting the lead for 'Aami' after Vidya Balan's withdrawal from the project. He initially approached Nayanthara, who ultimately declined due to a lack of confidence. The uncertainties resulted in a delay, which was unprecedented for him in his career. Eventually, Manju Warrier was selected for the role, and the producer supported this choice. 'Aami' was released in 2018 and gained recognition, winning two awards.
