Karnataka launches ‘Kusuma Sanjeevini’ to provide free preventive treatment for haemophilia patients at 36 centers
Karnataka is now providing free preventive treatment for haemophilia patients. A new drug, Emicizumab, will be available at 36 centres. This initiative aims to stop bleeds and joint pain, allowing patients a more active life. Previously, treatment was only given after a bleed occurred. The government has allocated funds for this program, which will benefit around 1,000 patients.
