Kerala BJP leader Sandeep Varier joins Congress
Dissident BJP leader Sandeep G Varier joined Congress ahead of the Palakkad Assembly bypoll, citing frustration with the BJP leadership and alleging compromises with the ruling party. Varier accused BJP state president K Surendran of being the reason for his exit and claimed the party abandoned him for opposing the Karuvannur co-operative bank scam.
