Kolkata: Bicycle thief, with a garage to ‘park’ spoils, in police net
A 24-year-old man, Rajesh Chiti, was arrested in Kolkata for stealing over two dozen bicycles since 2022. Chiti targeted bicycles because they were rarely reported stolen and sold them from an abandoned garage. He used sob stories to sell the bikes at low prices and was caught after police reviewed CCTV footage and questioned potential buyers.
