Kolkata, Howrah civic polls to be completed by December 7: SEC
The State Election Commission aims to wrap up elections in eight local bodies by December 7, including the Kolkata and Howrah Municipal Corporations along with six other municipalities. The electoral rolls, published on July 1 by the Election Commission of India, will guide these elections. Additionally, recent delimitation exercises have altered ward counts in Kolkata and Howrah, with plans for similar exercises in Siliguri and Durgapur Municipal Corporations.
