London residents may keep homes after 12-year fight against estate demolition

The focus will shift toward improving existing homes and fostering community ties, sparing residents from the threat of eviction. This significant turnaround, subject to Cabinet approval on October 21, marks a commitment to preserve community integrity and architectural character.
