Lucknow police arrest duo after encounter over assault on retired Army officer
Krishnanagar Police arrested Mohammad Sameem and his accomplice after an encounter related to an assault and arson attack on a retired army officer who opposed local harassment of women. Sameem, with 23 criminal cases, and Akash Gautam, with 11 cases, were captured following gunfire. The attack had occurred on December 15-16, 2024.
