Manipur MLA Vungzagin Valte dies of injuries sustained in 2023 mob attack
Manipur's Thanlon MLA Vungzagin Valte, a prominent Kuki-Zo leader, has passed away at 61 following a brutal mob assault on May 4, 2023. Valte, a three-time MLA and former minister, succumbed to his injuries after prolonged treatment. He is reportedly the first elected representative to die in the ongoing communal violence.
