Mumbai land fraud: 8, including company directors, booked over Rs 100 crore property scam using forged documents
Powai police filed a case against eight individuals for allegedly defrauding a landowner of Rs 100 crore. The complaint was registered by Narottam Chitaranjan Sharma on February 25, 2026. Allegations include the use of forged documents to claim ownership of land leased in 1948. The Economic Offences Wing of Mumbai Crime Branch is now investigating the case. No arrests have been made at this time.
