Mumbai Police register FIR after singer duped of Rs 45,000 in three-way call merge scam
In a troubling incident, 73-year-old singer Ravi Mehra from Andheri (West) fell victim to a scam totaling Rs 45,000. He was deceived by a call purporting to be from Zepto Customer Care regarding a missing parcel. After transferring a small amount, Mehra discovered a large withdrawal from his account, followed by another call asking for his bank details to supposedly refund him.
