Najib Royal Pardon House Arrest: Party pays 50mn ringgit fine; transfer date unclear
Najib Razak is anticipated to transition from prison to house arrest after a fine has been paid. His political party, the United Malays National Organisation, successfully gathered the required funds through a fundraising initiative, satisfying a crucial condition for his royal pardon from Malaysia's king. Police have been stationed outside Najib's Kuala Lumpur residence in preparation for the transfer, although authorities have not disclosed the precise timing of the move.
