Namibia’s new plan aims to secure more than 20 million hectares in 2026
Namibia has entered into a groundbreaking conservation financing agreement exceeding N$1 billion. This initiative is set to foster community-oriented conservation on more than 20 million hectares throughout the country. The project is anticipated to aid over 283,000 locals, relying on wildlife and natural resources. It will improve governance and resource management while promoting economic growth for rural communities with various funding sources, alongside continued technical support for better conservation practices.
