National Medical Commission relaxes norms of teachers' eligibility for medical colleges, check details here
The National Medical Commission (NMC) draft regulations propose relaxed norms for medical faculty. Non-teaching consultants with a postgraduate degree and four years’ experience in 220-bedded hospitals can become assistant/associate professors. Diploma holders serving as senior residents since 2017 are eligible for assistant professor roles. MSc/PhD holders can temporarily teach anatomy, biochemistry, and physiology.
