A JDA road-widening drive on New Sanganer Road has triggered serious allegations of selective and politically tilted action, with residents claiming the authority’s red demolition marks have cut deep into properties in Congress-held areas while sparing several structures in neighbouring BJP-linked pockets on the same stretch. A TOI field visit found the demarcation visibly uneven — some homes and shops marked for heavy demolition, others nearby left untouched — prompting traders and residents with pattas, tax records and decades of occupation to move court against what they call an arbitrary and unjust exercise
