Noida girl builds an AI smart cane for elderly, visually impaired people; presents it at UN summit
Aaradhya Jain, an 11-year-old from Noida, developed STAMBHA, an AI-powered smart cane for helping the elderly. The device features obstacle detection, a camera, and health monitoring sensors that alert family members during falls. Aaradhya drew inspiration from her grandparents' experiences as they aged and the film ‘Srikanth’ about visually impaired individuals. She presented STAMBHA at the United Nations summit and plans further testing with users.
