Odisha: 315 held for participating in gambling
Over 315 individuals were arrested in Ganjam district, Odisha, for gambling during festival celebrations, with police seizing Rs 12.98 lakh in unaccounted cash, 115 mobile phones, 56 motorcycles, and three cars. Authorities registered 54 cases under the Orissa Prevention of Gambling Act. Despite police crackdowns, locals continue the tradition during the Kumar Purnima festival night.
