ONGC starts commercial crude production at Ashoknagar field, sends 12,000L to refinery
Commercial crude oil production commenced at ONGC's Ashoknagar field on Friday. The first consignment of crude oil was transported to the Haldia refinery. Two wells are currently operational, and ONGC plans to drill more wells soon. Exploration efforts discovered oil and gas deposits in Baigachhi back in 2018. The expansion of this oilfield is expected to boost the regional economy and create jobs.
