Orissa HC quashes RTO order suspending registration certs of trucks
The Orissa High Court quashed the Jagatsinghpur RTO's order suspending registration certificates of multiple trucks involved in alleged illegal sand transportation. Justice B.P. Routray ruled the RTO wrongly invoked Section 53 of the Motor Vehicles Act, as vehicles had valid permits during seizure. The court found no evidence of statutory violations justifying the suspension.
