Over 1 lakh consumers in Uttar Pradesh yet to avail power OTS scheme
Despite the extension, only 22,049 out of 1.31 lakh defaulters participated in the second phase of the power one-time settlement scheme, resulting in Rs 45.76 crore collection out of Rs 347 crore dues. The scheme, which began on December 15, 2024, aims to help consumers clear outstanding electricity dues with discounts, but over one lakh defaulters still owe Rs 301.
