Parliament standoff: Government reaches out to opposition for NEET debate, urges talks without preconditions
The government is engaging opposition leaders to resolve the Parliament deadlock over the NEET paper leak. Discussions aim to end disruptions which have stalled proceedings since the Monsoon session began. The Centre is ready for debate without preconditions, including minister's resignation. A meeting of floor leaders is likely soon to build consensus for the discussion. This outreach follows repeated adjournments due to protests on examination irregularities.
