Police crackdown on fake ‘police mitra’ recruitment

East Champaran police have launched a crackdown on a 'police-mitra' job scam targeting the unemployed. Two arrests have been made, with the investigation revealing a gang leader, Ashok Samrat, and two associates who allegedly charged Rs25,000 per candidate. Rewards have been announced for their capture. The police are also probing potential involvement of officers and digital media personnel.
