Pre-Holi raids in Kanpur: FSDA seizes 9 quintals of adulterated mawa & edible oil worth Rs 29L
Ahead of Holi, the FSDA department in Kanpur seized adulterated mawa and edible oil worth over Rs 29 lakh. Acting on a tip-off, officials intercepted a train consignment of unhygienic mawa and later found a large stock of allegedly adulterated soybean oil imported from Nepal. The department has intensified inspections to curb food adulteration during the festive season.
