Quarrels with wife not cruelty, no ground for divorce, says Bombay high court

The Bombay High Court determined that trivial marital grievances do not constitute valid reasons for divorce. Simple annoyance or everyday disagreements are insufficient grounds for marital dissolution. The court upheld a maintenance order for the wife, dismissing the husband's divorce request due to a lack of evidence supporting claims of physical or mental cruelty. The maintenance awarded was deemed fair and justified.
