Shivamogga police arrested Souhardh Patel for sending contaminated sweets to residents disguised as gifts from BJP MLC Dhananjaya Sarji. Patel had a grudge against an educational institute's secretary. He took this step as retaliation. The parcels, sent during New Year celebrations, had Sarji's name. The police acted swiftly and apprehended Patel within 48 hours.
