Rights group says Saudi Arabian border guards fired on and killed hundreds of Ethiopian migrants
According to a report released on Monday by Human Rights Watch, Saudi Arabian border guards have reportedly utilized machine guns and mortars to target Ethiopians attempting to cross into the country from Yemen. These actions have likely resulted in the deaths of numerous unarmed migrants over the past few years. The rights organization referenced accounts from witnesses detailing assaults by military personnel, as well as visual evidence depicting deceased bodies and makeshift burial sites along migrant paths. The documented death toll could potentially extend into the "thousands."
