Hundreds of fans and journalists descended on a Madeira cathedral after false rumours claimed Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez would marry there. Despite public denials, the crowd waited for the couple, only to discover another bride and groom were getting married. Ronaldo never appeared and later appeared to mock the bizarre scenes with laughing emojis on social media.
