Scientists melted plastic bottles with eggshell waste to make paving tiles

Researchers created paver tiles using discarded PET plastic, eggshell powder, and river sand instead of cement. They tested various combinations to determine the best proportions for mechanical strength and performance. The optimal mix included 70% PET, 20% eggshell powder, and 10% river sand, resulting in suitable tiles for pedestrian use. Microscopy revealed strong bonding within the composite structure, enhancing durability.
