Senior citizen under ‘digital arrest’ sells 2.5 crore flat at half price in Mumbai
A 78-year-old man was tricked into selling his Mumbai flat for Rs 1.16 crore, less than half its market value. Fraudsters impersonating police officers threatened him for two months. They claimed he was involved in a money laundering case. The man was compelled to sell his property under duress. Police are investigating the digital arrest scam.
