SRK had almost bought a different IPL team, not KKR
IPL founder Lalit Modi revealed that Shah Rukh Khan's first choice wasn't Kolkata Knight Riders. Khan initially tried to acquire teams in cities like Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore but was outbid. He eventually settled for Kolkata at a bid of around 85-87 million. Modi emphasized SRK's significant role in attracting a wider audience, particularly women and children, to the IPL.
