Surat councillor’s daughter sprayed with pepper in Canada, car smashed; returns to India
A Surat councillor's daughter, studying in Canada, was allegedly pepper-sprayed and harassed last year. This came to light after her family received threatening messages in India since 2023. Surat Cyber police identified the accused as Mohammad Asfaq Rifai, son of a former councillor, and are investigating the motive behind the threats and alleged attacks.
