Suspended forest ranger surrenders in elephant death case

Suspended deputy ranger Binaya Kumar Bisi, accused of illegally transporting a dismembered elephant carcass, surrendered to investigators. He was on the run after being suspended for allegedly tampering with evidence related to the elephant's death. Bisi surrendered following an interim high court order granting him protection from arrest for six weeks, during which he must cooperate with the ongoing investigation.
