Tap water reaches Barmer village, over 700km away from Narmada
After decades of hardship, the village of Sundra in Rajasthan, on the India-Pakistan border, finally has access to clean drinking water. A Rs 513 crore project brought water 728km from the Sardar Sarovar Dam, overcoming challenging terrain and infrastructure hurdles. This transformative project promises relief for other villages in the region soon.
