Texas man Christophe Waggoner began October's Child in 2017; has gifted 8,000 Halloween costumes to families and plans to give away 4,000 in 2026
Christophe Waggoner established a charity called October's Child to provide Halloween costumes for children. He began the initiative after recalling his own childhood experiences with costumes. Over the years, the charity has grown significantly, distributing nearly 8,000 costumes to families in need. In the upcoming event, he plans to give away over 4,000 costumes for various age groups. Waggoner's efforts illustrate the positive impact of community support on childhood celebrations.
