Thane metro faces heat Eknath Shinde calls for public consultations
Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has directed MahaMetro to launch a public awareness campaign. Consultations with residents will be held to address project concerns and misconceptions. This directive follows growing criticism over a lack of public input on major infrastructure projects. MahaMetro officials explained that about 9.5% of the project work has already been completed. An alternative alignment proposed by the Transport Minister will also be studied.
