'They were the only family I had ... ': Boy, 13, jumps into Bengaluru Lake to save sister, 11; both drown
Nagamma's children, Mahalakshmi and John Srinivas, drowned in Kengeri Lake. Mahalakshmi had slipped into the water while washing her hands, and John drowned trying to save her. Emergency personnel recovered their bodies the next day after a search hindered by rain and darkness. Police have registered a case of unnatural death.
