Toddler undergoes surgery after broken syringe needle left inside body at Maharashtra hospital

A toddler required surgery after a broken injection needle remained lodged in his lower back. This occurred while he received an anti-rabies vaccine at Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation's hospital. His parents alerted staff, but were allegedly advised to take the child home. An X-ray at a private hospital revealed the needle, leading to surgical removal. An inquiry has been ordered into the alleged medical negligence at the civic facility.
